Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 is getting more cabins
2026-09-14Cunard will add 31 staterooms and suites to the Queen Mary 2 during a drydock in April 2027.
The cruise line will also refresh every existing Grill Suite onboard and enhance multiple public spaces.
Of the 31 new accommodations, 16 will be Cunard Princess Grill Suites and 15 will be Britannia category staterooms.
Improvements to existing Grill Suites will include redesigned bathrooms and new furnishings and finishes. The Queens Grill and Princess Grill restaurants will also get a refresh.

The ship’s kennels will be redesigned to be more spacious, the outdoor dog walking space will be expanded and the dog owners’ lounge will be refurbished.
Cunard also plans to update the spa and gym, Mareel Wellness and Beauty, and add new luxury stores. The ship’s planetarium will get a digital upgrade.
The Queen Mary 2 will begin drydock in France on March 31 and re-enter service May 9.
