Explora Journeys takes delivery of third ship

Explora Journeys on Thursday took delivery of its third cruise ship, the Explora III.

The ship will embark on its first cruise on Friday, a five-night “prelude” sailing from Genoa to Civitavecchia, Italy. Tennis champion and Explora brand ambassador Jannik Sinner will be onboard for the first two days of the sailing.

The ship’s inaugural season includes voyages through Northern Europe, Iceland, Greenland and North America, with no repeated itineraries.

The Explora III is the longest ship in Explora’s fleet by 19.2 meters and has three new dining concepts: the Cellar, the Chef’s Table and Shore Club on 11. It also has more top suites than its predecessors, including a second Owner’s Residence.

Explora has six ships total planned, with deliveries for the second half of the fleet continuing through 2028.
