The top three Google Flight search destinations for summer travel are London, Paris and Tokyo.

They are followed by New York, Rome and Cancun.

Cancun dropped from the No. 2 spot one year ago. Tokyo rose to third from eighth.

The list measures searches in the U.S. for travel from June 1 to Aug. 31. The top 20 destinations had two newcomers, Madrid and San Juan, in spots 18 and 20, respectively, and two cities that fell off list this year: Chicago and San Francisco.

Drilling down, Google found that from Jan. 14 to March 14, La Romana and Saint John were the top places searched with the term “all-inclusive resort.” Palm Springs and Florida Keys were the most searched destinations with “weekend getaway,” and Napa and Key West were the most searched regions with “romantic getaway.”

The term “solo travel,” meanwhile, reached an all-time high on Google search in January. The places most commonly searched for “solo travel” are Bali, Japan, Acadia National Park, Turks and Caicos and Costa Rica, in that order.

When combining a place with the terms “couples destinations,” Turks and Caicos was tops. Orlando and Las Vegas were the main destinations included in searches for “things to do with kids.” And the top family travel destinations according to Google search are Turks and Caicos, Myrtle Beach, Jamaica, Cancun and Aruba.
