Seabourn partners with The Atlantic
2026-03-23The Atlantic magazine will curate events for select Seabourn itineraries as part of a new three-year partnership.
Beginning this year, Atlantic writers will lead onboard conversations on a variety of topics, such as culture, books, business, science, health and technology. The partnership will culminate with an Atlantic-themed cruise in October 2028 called “12 days with The Atlantic: A Seabourn Conversations Exclusive.”
The cruise will be designed to mirror The Atlantic Festival, an annual event with live interviews and forums featuring leaders spanning the cultural, scientific, business and political sectors. It will be a fall foliage itinerary on the Seabourn Quest from Montreal to Boston departing Oct. 4, 2028.
Seabourn has not yet announced other cruises with Atlantic programming but said they will be in 2026 and 2027.
In addition to hosting events, The Atlantic is curating books by its writers for every Seabourn ship’s library. The libraries will also have recent issues of its magazine.
Guests on a sailing with an Atlantic event will get a free three-month subscription to the magazine after the sailing and complimentary digital access to the website during the cruise.
Seabourn’s partnership with the publication is part of its onboard events program called Seabourn Conversations.
Seabourn Conversations is designed to offer more than just traditional lectures but also opportunities for guests to interact with featured speakers in more casual settings onboard and ashore. Programming has also included interactive workshops with speakers, such as cooking classes with a chef or a writing workshop with an author.
Among the announced Seabourn Conversations guests for 2026 are retired NASA astronaut Winston Scott, mountaineer Paul Deegan and one of Nelson Mandela’s private secretaries, Zelda la Grange.
