Uniworld to celebrate 50th anniversary with president’s cruise on the new Emilie

2026-01-26

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises will operate a special president’s cruise this year to celebrate the cruise line’s 50th anniversary.

The cruise, scheduled to depart on Oct. 23, will be hosted by president and CEO Ellen Bettridge on the line’s Vienna & Capital Cities of the Danube itinerary onboard the new Emilie.

“Traveling with our incredible guests is something I always look forward to, and hosting my 2026 President’s Cruise on our beautiful new S.S. Emilie makes it even more special,” Bettridge said. “With our 50th anniversary ahead, this is an especially meaningful year for us.”

The Emilie is the line’s first newbuild in five years and pays homage to Emilie Floge, the muse and life partner of Austrian painter Gustav Klimt. The ship can hold 154 passengers and features green, blue and yellow colors with Art Nouveau touches.

The ship will introduce a new accommodation option on the Emilie. Passengers can book a two-bedroom suite and an adjoining French balcony stateroom, combining the two.

The 10-day Danube itinerary includes calls in Budapest, Belgrade and Bratislava.

Uniworld will also host special “golden parties” during all sailings this year to commemorate its milestone anniversary.
