Top 3 Belize Excursions

There’s nothing like a Costa cruise, the fun is endless and so are the opportunities for adventure. With Costa Deliziosa’s return to the Caribbean from Port Everglades this December, guests will explore Belize, one of the most beautiful and ecologically diverse destinations in the world.
From ethnic markets and archeological ruins to snorkeling, kayaking and cave tubing, Costa offers something for everyone to enjoy, but there are three excursions that top the list.

1. ‘Goff’s Caye Barrier Reef Snorkel’
Sun-bleached beaches surround this hidden gem of the deep Caribbean where a magnificent reef is just steps away from the sand. Crystal-clear waters allow for perfect visibility of starfish, Green Sea Turtles and coral that range from bright orange to shocking lavender. Goff’s Caye features areas for snorkelers of all skill levels, beginners and experts alike will enjoy gliding through warm water through schools of tropical fish.

2. ‘Horseback Safari’
What better way to discover the natural beauty of the Belizean tropical forest than on horseback? With a guide leading the way, guests will journey through the lush jungle as they see native animals like the Black Howler monkey, parrots and majestic iguanas. Upon returning to the park, they’ll relax by the pool in hammocks and lounge chairs as they enjoy a traditional Belizean lunch.

3. ‘Jungle Zipline & Mayan Crystal Cave Tubing Expedition’
Guests will soar past the flora and fauna that ancient people used for spiritual and medicinal purposes, flying across the jungle with a bird’s eye view of the Mayans’ ancient ceremonial caves, across distances of up to 700 feet. After, they’ll switch gears from harnesses to life jackets as they explore the crystal caves; the secret Mayan underworld that houses ancient sacrificial pottery from 300 AD, stalactites, lagoons and waterfalls.
