Few places in the world are truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The Panama Canal is one of them. “This is something that everyone should see in their lifetime at least once,” Linda P. says on the Princess Cruises® Facebook page.  The Panama Canal officially opened on August 15, 1914, uniting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Ships are raised and lowered through a system of locks using water from Gatun Lake, a journey approximately 67,000 Princess® passengers are expected to take during the canal’s centennial year.  “Going through the Panama Canal was amazing,” says Marilyn S. She adds, “Never left the balcony for nine hours.”
